Warehouse Module

The Transportation Software Systems, Inc. Warehouse system is a comprehensive set of programs designed to streamline clerical and accounting work while providing exhaustive audit trail reports for internal warehouse operations as well as for all customer necessities.  The focus of this system is to convert complicated and paper intensive tasks into simple clerical jobs that benefit from single source entry.  Whether you are managing a smaller operation or millions of square feet this is the software that will meet your needs today and tomorrow.

Warehouse Inbound

The Warehouse inbound functions include the capture of products coming into the warehouse through a simple receipt entry screen.   The system allows for the recording of all necessary information including customer name and address, tally numbers, inbound reference numbers, carrier, seal numbers, date, and product ID codes. This function allows entry of lots and locations and serial numbers as well as the actual numbers of each product line being received.  During the receipt entry an operator can also review any automatic inbound charges and apply any additional accessorial charges that may pertain to the receiving process.  Once the receipt is complete and any desired messages are entered, inventory is updated and invoice information is sent to a queue which is available for printing at any time.  Storage and handling invoices print while inventory and rate tables are being accessed to ensure all charges are current and correct.  The calculation of storage by both full and half month is automatically applied if desired.  Once the storage and handling invoices have been printed, the storage and handling register lists all invoices in invoice number sequence, register totals including general ledger accounts to be posted, and then updates accounts receivable and the general ledger.

Warehouse Outbound

Warehouse outbound functions allow the release of product through the preparation of a bill of lading.  This function permits the input of all necessary data which includes automatic selection of the product that should ship first, and pick list information to locate product for the most efficient use of warehouse labor.  At the time of bill of lading preparation, both automatic and manual charges may be applied as well as any necessary comments.  Bill of Ladings and accessorial  invoices may be printed at any time, inventory is updated as well as accounts receivable and general ledger.

Monthly Storage

The warehouse system efficiently handles opening inventory tasks by printing a comprehensive customer activity detail report for the month, a storage charge invoice (automatically produced by reading customer, item, and rate master files), and an opening inventory invoice register that posts accounts receivable and general ledger.

EDI & Barcoding

All standard warehouse EDI documents are fully supported, mapping services available. The system supports printing of carton/pallet/rack labels, formatting of custom UCC-128 labels for your customers is available.

Reports/Inquiries

Warehouse reports and inquiries are abundant and extensive in nature, providing an iron-clad audit trail for all warehouse activity.  Simple, quick, and easy to use features allow operators to function efficiently with limited training.  File structure that is well designed is key to allowing several years or more of on-line history to be managed easily without system degradation.  Special customer reports and EDI transmissions are easily accommodated and provide great promotional and sales tools.  Special "dial-in" access can be provided to customers that need on-line access to their inventories and statistics.  Extensive and user managed security is provided to insure proper access to all that need it without compromising sensitive corporate information.
