Motor Carrier Module The motor carrier system is an exhaustive set of programs designed to help carriers deal with the problems of an extremely paper intensive business. Great care has been taken to insure flexibility is offered to all that use this system. Freight billing and rating have been designed to allow users (through simple file maintenance) the ability to tailor the routines to suit specific needs; establishing cursor movement and sequence, mandatory and optional fields, activating or deactivating optional features such as owner/operator or driver pay windows, interline or broker split fields, and delivery efficiency and tracing capability. Order entry and dispatch functions are user friendly. We can modify the system to meet your specific needs economically. The unique design provides carriers with the proper tools for both current and future needs.
 | Freight Billing Freight Billing includes automatic rating, mileage lookups, fast and efficient recall of existing shippers and consignees through windows, addition of new customers during billing without exiting the billing screen, assignment of permanent customer numbers during billing (if desired), handling of broker or owner/operator or driver splits through windows, handling of interline or three-line haul splits, ability to capture information for later use in tracing, vehicle control, and sales and driver analysis. Freight bill printing routines fit ATA standard forms and the programs can be easily changed to print on other size forms. Billing procedures can accommodate companies that pre-bill and deliver on freight bills or delivery receipts, or those companies that post-bill (have already completed the delivery before the freight bill invoice is created). Bills can be easily recalled and corrected after printing if mistakes are detected, however, after the bills are finalized and have updated the accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, sales and driver analysis, corrections must be created that produce the proper audit trail and updates to the appropriate history files! Tracing Extensive reporting is available, as all freight bills are captured by history files after they have been processed. Special report generator programs allow clerical level people the ability to create a vast number of custom reports and inquires that will be invaluable for analysis in areas of accounting, customer service, operations, and sales. History data may be maintained for several years for other conveniences such as tracing, claims, etc. Additional Features Other motor carrier features include easy tariff maintenance, nationwide Bureau rating, integrated optional nationwide mileage databases, routing for drivers, automated billing and revenue accounting for special charges (i.e., stop off, detention, etc.), optional integrated owner/operator system and driver system that is interfaced with accounts payable and payroll, and revenue recaps by customers, drivers, owner/operators, and for equipment (tractors, trailers, straight trucks, containers, chassis, etc.).
